Mars Petcare’s new North American headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, was created as the “Pet Friendly Workplace of the Future”. The candy and pet conglomerate ultimately decided on 224,000 square feet of space in two connected buildings labeled C and D — to stand for ‘cats’ and ‘dogs’. Lighting included both building façades, a 9,000-square-foot outdoor dog park, and 60 acres of outdoor green space and walking paths – all designed with pet-friendly landscaping. The green lawn and trellis seating areas have been enhanced by welcoming and inviting lighting, offering comfortable places for staff members and their pets to take a relaxing break outdoors.
