Located in a prime spot on Massachusetts Avenue in Boston, the Berklee College of Music’s multi-use residence hall is a beacon for the world-renowned college’s urban campus. The 16-story building provides freshman housing, but also offers a variety of performance and meeting spaces. It features a 400-seat, 2-story dining hall, which also serves as a striking student performance venue, overlooking the street. Students also have been provided with cutting-edge music technology and rehearsal studios, as well as student activity and gathering spaces. Lam Partners provided lighting design for the lobby, performance/dining hall, servery, fitness center, typical dorm rooms, lounges, elevator lobbies, restrooms, practice rooms, corridors, and exterior lighting design for the main canopy, building entries and the roof terrace.
