Located on the UMass Medical School’s Worcester campus, the Sherman Center provides increased research capacity for students. The project was built on time and under budget, a tribute to the collaborative efforts of the entire design, engineering and construction team, and has achieved LEED Gold status. This cutting-edge lab, classroom and office facility features extensive use of daylighting and lighting controls. Sloping ceilings and daylight-responsive dimming, together with a task-ambient lighting approach, deliver significant energy savings.
