The design of the Food Court at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center creates an inviting and energetic environment, without clichéd food court imagery that would have been inconsistent with the building’s style.
In support of this approach, the lighting design features decorative but minimalist pendant silver bullets with dimmable compact fluorescent lamps which provide an engaging sparkle and a glow on the ceiling panels.
Incandescent halogen downlights throughout the space supply the highest possible level of color rendition (an important factor in food service presentation), and impart a warm glow for an evening café feel.
All of the lighting is dimmable under the control of a preset dimming system, so that more subdued looks can be selected for evening cocktail receptions and parties.
