The renovation of Cambridge Common and Flagstaff Park included improvements to walkways and lighting and the realignment of a major path. Existing lighting was completely replaced, in accordance with a new design by Lam Partners. This included a comprehensive selection process of a new LED post-top fixture that became the standard for all parks in the City. Fixtures are controlled by wireless adaptive dimming controls that dim the lights late at night. In addition to lighting all the paths, new lighting was provided for the Civil War monument, revealing this landmark that had been lost from view after dark.
